solid lifters on a hydraulic cam profile but not hydraulic lifters on solid cams. When you run solid lifters on non solid lifter cam, you will lose lift and duration because you need to set some lash (gap). In general regardless of cam profile, tigher lash increases lift and duration, looser lash reduces it. You dont want it too loose because then the cam lobe will be slam the valve open and close (increase wear and noise). You want it to have a gradual take up of the lash.
